Ship's Crane Operator
C3 is a national provider of Port Logistics services across New Zealand, employing over 1200 staff in 11 locations.
We are looking for suitably skilled Ship's Crane Operators to join our local port logistics team. We require motivated, safety conscious staff who are experienced in the operation of ship's cranes and heavy machinery. Our preference would be for skilled operators who have experience loading log vessels, using ship's cranes.
If successful you will be employed with a primary function operating heavy machinery, such as Ship's Cranes as well as having the opportunity to perform other general duties.
This is a permanent position with a minimum hours guarantee equivalent to a minimum of 40 hours per week. Flexibility is required to work hours over a 24/7 working week.
The opportunity to travel and work in ports outside of Wellington is available from time to time. Hours of work can vary due to shipping requirements.
To be considered for these positions with C3 you will need to:
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating Ship's Cranes or similar type of crane
• Be a strong team player
• Act in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements
• Pass a pre-employment medical
• Pass pre-employment and random drug & alcohol testing
• Be able to work at heights
• Have a positive attitude
• Be committed to a safe work environment
