For the right candidate C3 can offer initial work as a Log Scaler/Measurer that could lead to more skilled work in the future, such as; driving heavy log loading machinery, learning how the log yard works as well as vessel planning.
About the initial Job
Log scaling is an NZQA accredited job, where a structured training programme can gain you a recognised qualification. You don’t have to of worked in this type of role before either as training is provided.
The Checkpoint where the Log Scalers work is located at the port and is a facility where logging trucks come to have their logs measured and ticketed ready for export. The Checkpoint is a team environment where the safety of our staff is paramount. The Checkpoint normally operates between the hours of 0500am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday shift required.
