Plant Operators + Team Leader
C3 are searching for experienced Plant Operators to drive heavy machinery on the wharf for the loading and unloading of logs off trucks as well as feeding our log debarker. Our Plant Operators also ensure that the logs are safely moved and stacked neatly and accurately in rows in the yard, so that logs can be brought to the ship’s side when they are required to be loaded onto log vessels.
This role will operate a variety of heavy machinery including High Stackers and Pivot Steers with log grapples, as well as Chip dozers, to manage the log chip pile. As the role involves operating large machinery in a confined space on the wharf accuracy, attention to detail and a strong focus on Health & Safety are a priority.
This position requires flexibility regarding working hours as there are a range of shifts across a 24/7 work environment influenced by shipping schedules. Permanent full time and casual roles are available.
As well as Plant Operators we are looking for someone wanting to take the next step in their career taking on additional duties in a supervisory capacity. The Team leader applicant will be someone who enjoys responsibility and hands on leadership. You will be someone who likes motivating and getting the best out of others by fostering a good team culture and building positive morale.
The ideal Team Leader will be an experienced Plant Operator with the required licences and Verification of Competence, with an interest in supporting and mentoring staff. Duties of this role will also include assisting with the delivery of an efficient and quality service to our customers.
