Employing over 1200 staff in 13 locations around New Zealand, C3 Limited is a market leader in New Zealand’s port related product and cargo handling, adding value to our client’s businesses by providing solutions to their transport and logistics needs.
Due to an internal promotion we are seeking a motivated and energetic Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Log Marshalling facility and Stevedoring operations at the port. The Napier branch receives and measures logs arriving via truck on a daily basis through our customer service facility, while Stevedoring operations assist with the loading of logs when log vessels are in port.
This is a salaried role that ensures adequate staffing levels are covered in all areas, on all shifts and that team members are trained and following standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
The successful candidate for this position will be someone who is looking to take the next step in their career, taking on further responsibility, to supervise and motivate staff to ensure the business consistently delivers an efficient and quality service to customers. You will be someone who enjoys developing and getting the best out of others by fostering a good team culture and morale while enjoying a hands on leadership role.
The successful candidate will require;
- Leadership abilities with a desire to motivate others to achieve
- Planning skills to determine rostering needs and optimization of labour
- Effective communication skills with staff and customers
- A strong commitment to Health and Safety
- An energetic and positive personality to motivate others
- Sound computer skills and the aptitude to learn new inhouse tracking systems
- Knowledge of log marshalling and/or port operations would be desirable but is not essential
