We are seeking to appoint a driven and experienced people manager to focus on all operational aspects of our on-wharf logistical services. C3 Auckland covers a diverse scope of operations, ranging from stevedoring vessels, marshalling cargo to packing and unpacking services. This is a dynamic operation and covers a variety of cargo commodities, not limited to cars, machinery, containers, and break bulk.
Reporting to the Branch Manager we seek someone who can develop
and lead a large team as well as manage the day-to-day operations of the business.
The role works within a tight knit team and has up to 6 direct reports and up
to 140 indirect reports in any given shift. This position offers opportunities to deliver
and innovate across three key pillars: customer service, people management and
overall resource efficiency.
C3 Auckland operates 24/7, subsequently this position requires
someone who is flexible and adaptable. This is an exciting role with plenty of
scope, autonomy, and variety.
The successful candidate will require the following:
Strong and effective people leadership skills with the ability work in a complex labour environment
Experience with optimizing efficiency of labour and mobile plant
Demonstrate commitment to health and safety management
Effective relationship management with customers and staff
Excellent planning and organisation skills
Strong business acumen
Experience with Microsoft office suite & ability to quickly learn new computer programs.
Proven operational management experience, ideally in a logistical or supply chain industry
