Log Loader Operators

Our Picton branch is looking to hire reliable and experienced loader operators for heavy forestry machinery. The role involves operating Wagner's, high stacker's and pivot steer heavy machinery to load/unload logging trucks/barges and stack logs ready for loading onto log vessels in a port environment. 

Flexibility with working hours is required as there are a range of shifts required to cover this operation, which includes working nights.

Experience in a port environment and/or forestry experience would be advantageous, as well as an ability to operate log loading machinery, however training can be provided for the right candidate. 

Essential requirements for the position are:

 Experience in operating pivot steer log loaders & high stackers

 A minimum Class 1 licence with W endorsement

 A strong focus on Health and Safety 

 An ability to work to deadlines

 Flexibility and reliability

 A positive approach towards teamwork

You may be required to demonstrate your abilities in the form of a practical pre-employment assessment as part of the selection process.
