Log Loader Operator / Debarker Operator

About the role:

The role involves operating pivot steer and high stacker heavy machinery, loading/unloading/stacking logs in preparation for loading log vessels, as well as feeding a Debarker with logs.

Flexibility with working hours is required as there are a range of shifts required including working nights when vessels are loading. Both permanent full time and casual positions are available.

Experience in a port environment and forestry experience would be advantageous, as well as an ability to operate log loading machinery.

Essential requirements for the position are:

• Experience in operating pivot steer log loaders & high stackers
• A minimum Class 1 licence with W endorsement
• A strong focus on Health and Safety
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Flexibility and reliability
• A positive approach towards teamwork

You may be required to demonstrate your abilities in the form of a practical pre-employment assessment as part of the selection process.
