Heavy Forestry Machine Operators


Employing over 1200 staff in 11 locations across New Zealand, C3 Limited is a market leader in New Zealand’s port related product and cargo handling, adding value to our clients’ businesses by providing solutions to their transport and logistics needs.

We are building capacity at our Canterbury branch to service our local branch and other South Island branches and beyond. We are looking to hire reliable and experienced heavy forestry machine operators to operate heavy machinery such as high stackers, pivot steers and diggers to load and unload logging trucks in our log yard at the port. The work also involves assisting with loading log vessels which can occur at any time over a 24/7 week and as a result you must be flexible with your work hours at times due to shipping schedules.

Forestry experience would be advantageous however training can be provided for the right candidates. You may be required to demonstrate your abilities in the form of a practical pre-employment assessment as part of the selection process.

Essential requirements for the position are:

 Experience in operating pivot steer log loaders, high stackers and or diggers

 Preference for a full Class 2 or Class 2 learner’s licence

 Preference for W and/or T endorsements

 A strong focus on Health and Safety

 An ability to work to deadlines

 Flexibility and reliability

 Ability to travel to other C3 branches
