Health & Safety Insights Support


Based in Tauranga this position supports our Health & Safety Insights Team Lead with Health & Safety reporting across the business and is the superuser for our Health & Safety incident management system (IMS) – Noggin. This role will optimise our manager’s use of H&S systems by supporting them with reporting, quality control and data analytics. 

The person we are looking for will have strong data analysis and report writing skills to extract data, provide insights and compile monthly/quarterly HSER reports for the senior management team and the board. This position will be responsible for leading our HSER document control including IMS and other HSER documentation. 

An important part of this role is injury management to ensure our workers return to work in a coordinated way that involves liaison and record keeping with injured workers, managers, health providers and ACC. You will also contribute to innovative solutions for injury reduction and safety optimisation.

Wellbeing is also a focus of this role to assist with developing and leading a wellbeing programme to build worker resilience and wellness.

In this role you will deal with contractor management of service providers for pre-employment medicals, health monitoring, rehabilitation providers such as Physios and counselling service providers.

To be considered for this position you will require:

  • Exposure to H&S in a practical hands-on operational environment
  • Experience with H&S Incident Management Systems
  • Sound knowledge of current law and H&S legislation
  • Exposure to ACC return to work processes
  • Strong relationship building abilities and resilience 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to drive a strong safety culture
  • The ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proven track record in data analytics using business intelligence software tools
  • Experience working with H&S or business systems and using data to develop actionable insights
