General Duties Stevedores

As a General Duties Stevedore, you will be involved in a variety of tasks including forklift work, log marking and mark offs, rigging, log validation, maintenance of gear and other labouring duties.

On offer are;

• An hourly rate starting at $32.96 for entry level Stevedores with potential to earn higher rates when fully competent.
• Guaranteed hours available equivalent to a minimum of 35 hours per week.

No experience is required as full training is provided to work on the port, however you do need to be physically fit and motivated with the flexibility to work shifts in our 24/7 environment.

Essential requirements for the position are:

•  Be able to work shifts up to 12 hours  
•  Can follow instructions and adhere to procedures
•  Have a positive attitude
•  A strong focus on Health and Safety of you and those around you
•  A dedicated team player
•  A good level of fitness with ability to work in all weather conditions
•  Full class 1 driver & forklift licence desirable
•  Personal standards of reliability, honesty, integrity & professionalism
