Data Warehouse / Database Administrator

Our IT team works over a varied environment, ranging from traditional IT solutions, serverless cloud-based solutions through to mobile technology that supports cutting edge logistics systems that track our customers products across the world. 

C3 are embarking on the development and implementation of a new Technology strategy as our industry moves to digitise the supply chain. Here at C3, we feel good strategy is powered by great people. We are looking for people who can solve business problems through innovative technology solutions and teamwork. 

As an expert in data, your main tasks will be to;

  • Work with Stakeholders and actively promote currency in all C3 database systems 
  • Maintain appropriate access and security to all database objects
  • Actively tune and manage the database server farms, ensuring optimum performance & reliability – including reliable and tested backups, restores and migrations
  • Craft data warehouses using ETL strategies and tools
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and adopt “good practise” concepts in design and development practices
  • Demonstrate agility with reporting, being able to extract and represent data to the business using a variety of methodology
  • Develop solutions to streamline business processes to achieve departmental and company-wide goals more effectively and efficiently
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders on project work
  • Provide support and train users on database tools and methodologies

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Specialization with related databases, architecture & implementation of data models & database designs, data access & table maintenance codes.
  • Understanding of data warehouse methodology.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the premise that the end consumer is non-technical.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience with Power BI

Our ideal DBA will have a minimum of 5 to 10 years working with databases and some knowledge of the port/forestry/logistics industries would be advantageous, but not essential.
