Branch Manager - Mount Logs

Employing over 1200 staff in 11 locations across New Zealand, C3 Limited is a market leader in the supply and logistics sector, providing port logistics and cargo handling to a broad range of customers. Tauranga is the head office for C3 and Mount Logs is one of our leading branches.

To manage this flagship branch we are seeking an exceptional people manager who can build on the existing operation and embrace this position of responsibility with enthusiasm, energy and vision. The Mount Logs branch is a 24/7 operation with around 100 employees.

Reporting to the Mount Maunganui Manager, primary responsibilities will focus on managing all aspects of our Log Marshalling operations in Tauranga, which include the Log Checkpoint and working closely with other divisions in the wider C3 operations.

This position offers opportunities to deliver further improvements in customer service, resource allocation, efficiency, and productivity. To succeed in this position the preferred candidate will possess proactive leadership abilities and be self-motivated as well as motivating and developing others with a continuous improvement focus.

 To be considered for this position you will require:

• Demonstrated commitment to health & safety management and understanding of Martime NZ legislative requirements

 • Great leadership skills with the ability to develop strong teams and culture

 • Sound financial skills around budgeting, managing operational costs, Profit & Loss

 • Confident relationship management skills with customers, stakeholders and staff

 • Experience in optimising efficiency of labour and plant

 • Management experience in complex labour environments

 • Relevant qualifications or experience in management/logistics/forestry/port operations

 • Commercial acumen to identify business opportunities
