Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Employing over 1200 staff in 11 locations across New Zealand, C3 Limited is a market leader in New Zealand’s port related product and cargo handling, adding value to our client’s businesses by providing solutions to their transport and logistics needs.

Business growth is placing increased demands on the diverse range of heavy machinery that C3 Limited use to handle products at the port. Our Tauranga workshop is one of nine around the country that maintains, and repairs heavy machinery used by C3 Limited in the port environment.

We have an apprenticeship on offer for someone who has previous experience in a mechanical environment or who has done some study towards becoming a mechanic.

The person we are looking for needs to be energetic, methodical and keen to get their hands dirty – does that sound like you? You will also need to have an aptitude with machinery and be prepared to start at the bottom before you can work your way up.

Being an apprentice requires a commitment to three years of studying, attending classes, tutorials and passing assessments in a structured environment where your progress is monitored by MITO an external training provider.
